What is a difference between a condo or a independent living retirement home?
Independent Living Communities
These residential communities are ideal for active, older adults that no longer want the responsibility of home ownership. Independent living community services generally include a dining program, housekeeping and maintenance, concierge, garage or covered parking and organized social activities. Staffing includes a management team that is on site. The majority of communities are rental, thus allowing the opportunity to invest income outside of a real estate transaction in the years that seniors may want to increase their typically fixed income. Usually a lease or month to month agreement is entered into, as is typical when renting.
Benefits of Independent Living Retirement Communities:
- Maintenance Free
